Awareness in Dolphin Heights

The first phase of beautification and awareness of our community has been completed. The Street-Toppers have been installed on every street pole within our area. Now all who pass through will note they are in the Dolphin Heights Community.

Thank you Public Works Department for a job well done.

The Belay House Facelift”

Saturday September 25, 2010 Our beloved Belay house got a new face lift. It Rained all day but we worked in close proximity of each other talked, laughed and made new friends from SMU to Prairie View A&M Universities with residents of Dolphin Heights(DH). The children in the after school class will come into a bright and freshly painted house, we are all waiting to see their surprised faces.

Thanks to Jennifer and friends of SMU and our new friends at Prairie View A&M University the staff , Dr. Penn, Dr. Norwood, Ms. Raab,  to all the PV A&M Students that traveled in the rain and special thanks to Mr. Smalley and his daughter Aisha, Ms. Welborn DH Community Coordinator and Mr. Andy Sturm BC-workshop.

A special thanks to Jim at Taco Cabana who came out and fed us a variety of Breakfast tacos, coffee and juices.

Dolphin Heights Neighborhood Association humbly is most thankful for everyone’s assistance.

Topper Proposal

The street toppers are complete.  The city of Dallas will install them soon.

These street toppers will identify Dolphin Heights’ boundaries from where we start to where we end. This is the first phase of our beautification Project.

Neighborhood Association Meeting – Saturday, September 18th!

Calling all Dolphin Heights residents and community partners, our monthly Neighborhood Association meeting is this Saturday, September 18th! We will have a special guest in attendance who has been working hard in our city of Dallas, as well as covering the monthly news of what is going on in our community.

Special note: registration is open for English as a Second Language and Spanish classes. Come and sign-up for these classes, taught by the lovely Ruth Lozano, starting today and registration continuing through September 24. Classes begin October 7th!

Bring your attitudes of involvement, your questions, your concerns for our neighborhood.  Our community is changing, come be a part of the change! See you there.
