LITTLE FREE LIBROS

IMG_4816100_7614100_7613 YES WE HAVE A LITTLE FREE LIBRARY COMING TO DOLPHIN HEIGHTS…

The afterschool students and volunteers designed their little library so  they could come  pick up a book to read even if “the belay house is closed”. they even requested  books to include such as science experiments, history, scary and of course dinosours:-) it will soon be ready for us.

RAINBOW JUNCTION SUMMER READING PROGRAM 2015

IMG_4757IMG_4764IMG_4751IMG_4638We opened for Summer Camp June 14, 2015. Twenty-one children ages 3 to 18 years of age registered for the program.  From 10: 00 am to 1:15 pm

Thanks to Equal Heart of Dallas supporting our program with breakfast and lunch each day three days per week, we were privileged to serve combined total of 836 meals.

The children and young adults read books, did science experiments, wrote and created their own stories and, did timed writing as teams and groups if it could get your curiosity we did it. They learned about the Texas indians and did group presentations.

To summarize the past two months: We the children were exposed to and participated in the following activities Book Reports, such as, Life cycle of Insects, dissection of flowers, learning about Native Americans, Fashioning a fish, Dino Diorama, Fizzy Fountain experiment, making your own Pizza dough, create your own story, Five nights of Freddie’S Trivia, learning to get along with others IMG_4685and Team Cherish VS TeamIMG_4682 Declan, and making your own Slime.

 

Dallas Police sponsored a crime and safety presentation, exploring the squad cars and learning new safety tips.

Kuddos to the Volunteers for making it a fun Summer experience for all the Youth, Thank You Ms Sharon, Ms Cherish, Ms Jerrica,Ms Nazli, Mr Alan, Mr Declan, Mr John, Mr Ladaryus, “I could not have done this without you”
